Welcome to the JKA Atlanta Shotokan Karate Club

Visitors are always welcome at the JKA Atlanta Shotokan Karate Club, regardless of previous martial arts experience or affiliation. If you have never trained traditional Shotokan karate, you are in for a treat! Every technique and movement is based on solid, scientific, physical movement theory and taught in spirited classes that are designed to challenge all levels of ability.

Unlike many commercial karate clubs, all classes at the JKA Atlanta Shotokan Karate Club are taught by its Chief Instructor, Darryl D. Adams, a 5th degree black belt, certified by the JKA/WF, the world's largest and most prestigious karate organization. Members have the assurance that the skills they develop at the JKA Atlanta Shotokan Karate Club will transcend all others' and the rank they hold will be revered, having been earned using the highest standards. We invite you to drop-in either of our three weekly classes. If you don’t have a karate uniform (gi), please wear loose clothing such as a T-shirt and shorts or sweats. If you decide to become a member, you may purchase a uniform (gi) at the dojo.
